SKIT Annual Meeting!

The SKIT Annual Meeting will take place Sunday, March 21 at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.

We will be reviewing changes to the by-laws (listed below), discussing the rest of the year, and playing a SKIT trivia game. We hope to see you there!

CHANGES TO BY-LAWS
The Board of Directors has reviewed the By-Laws, which have not been updated since 2005. Please review the following proposed changes. These will be discussed and voted for acceptance at the virtual Annual Meeting on March 21, 2021.

ARTICLE VI. BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SECTION 1.  NUMBER.  The Board of Directors shall consist of the officers of SKIT.
                                   i.e. the President, Vice President, Vice President for Membership, Treasurer,
                                 Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, the President ex-officio and
                                   three (3) members at large. Directors. The President of SKIT shall preside over       the Board of Directors.

SECTION 2.  ELECTION. The three (3) members at large Directors shall be elected to the Board of Directors from the general membership of SKIT for a term of three (3) years; one such term shall expire each year. A director may run for re- election at the end of their term. All elections shall be held at the Annual Meeting.

ARTICLE VII. OFFICERS

SECTION 1. NUMBER. The Officers of the Corporation shall be President, Vice President, Vice President for Membership, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer.

SECTION 2. ELECTION. The President, Vice President, Vice President for Membership, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer shall be elected by the members at the annual meeting.

SECTION 3. TENURE. The President, Vice President,  Vice President  for  Membership, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer

shall hold office from the date of election or appointment until the next annual meeting of the membership. Persons elected to each of the above offices shall be limited to a maximum of three (3) consecutive terms  of office. The President ex-officio shall serve for one (1) year following
his or her term of office.
ARTICLE VIII. DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS
SECTION 5. MEMBERS AT LARGE.DIRECTORS, The Members at Large Directors shall act as liaisons between the general membership and the Board of Directors. One Member at Large Director shall be responsible for communicating  updating the general membership by e-mail after each board meeting. One Member at Large Director shall serve as SKIT’s representative to the New Hampshire Community Theater Association. The President shall determine which Member at Large Director shall fulfill each of the above responsibilities. These responsibilities may be alternated as the President sees fit.

ARTICLE XII. STANDING COMMITTEES

Standing Committees are those committees that are ongoing, year ‘round. The Board of Directors appoints chairpersons of these committees. The chairpersons will give progress reports of activities when requested to do so by the Board. Chairpersons shall give a yearly report at the annual meeting. Chairpersons are free to choose whomever they wish to serve on their committees.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE,  Membership committee shall be responsible for the continuing campaign to increase the membership base of SKIT and shall supervise the maintenance of the membership list and correspond with members as deemed necessary by the President. 

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE, Scholarship Committee shall be responsible for timely providing area high schools with current scholarship applications, meeting at least yearly to review applications via rubric, and recommend scholarship winners to the Board of Directors.
